Every adolescent begins by forming trust with an adult mentor. Strenuous activities and daily chores foster a strong work ethic and numerous other positive character qualities. Then, framed by a relationship with a mentor, the child can overcome the destructive choices that had held him or her back. We also use individual and group counseling to improve attitudes and behaviors.

Residents at New Horizons Boys Ranch are provided a fully accredited school that also consists of independent study courses. All credits received transfer easily to any other school. The self-paced nature of the coursework suits our students well, allowing them to learn in the way they find best and catch up on any missed credits. We believe discipline plays a key role in any successful education, and we convey this in our classroom. In addition, vocational training topics include automotive, construction, culinary, life skills, and ranching.

Genuine family restoration takes place only with the total commitment of parents. We require parents to attend three family workshops each year for coaching, family therapy and to visit their teen at our facility. We facilitate frequent contact between parents and their children using tools such as letter writing, which promotes communication and relationship building without the emotional charge of face-to-face contact.

We are a faith-based program that guides adolescents to find their place in life. Through mentorship, counseling, hard work and plenty of play, we teach values and character traits that will be profitable for your child all of his or her life. Please think about looking outside of El Paso, Texas to see how our caring program can lead to restoration in your family.
