Each boy begins by establishing a relationship with an adult mentor. Engaging activities and daily chores build a strong work ethic and many other desirable character qualities. Then, in context of a relationship with a mentor, the child can tackle the conflicts that had caused the need for intervention. We also offer individual and group counseling to bring change in attitudes and behaviors.

Boys at New Horizons Boys Ranch are provided a fully accredited school that also uses independent study courses. All credits earned transfer easily to any other school. The self-paced quality of the coursework suits our students well, allowing them to learn in the way they find best and catch up on any missed credits. We believe discipline plays a key part in any productive education, and we communicate this in our classroom. In addition, vocational training topics include automotive, construction, culinary, life skills, and ranching.

True family restoration occurs only with the full cooperation of parents. We require parents to attend three family workshops each year for coaching, family therapy and to visit their child on our campus. We facilitate frequent contact between parents and their children using tools such as letter writing, which strengthens communication and relationship building without the emotional charge of face-to-face contact.

We are a Christ-centered youth ranch that guides adolescents to find their place in life. Through mentorship, counseling, hard work and plenty of play, we teach values and character traits that will be profitable for your child into adulthood. Please consider looking outside of Utah to see how our caring program can bring restoration to your family. To discover more, we invite you to read our website, then complete our inquiry form or call us today.
