4446_81066702828_2344705_nNew Horizons Boys Ranch is a Christian residential program focused on character maturity and family restoration. We provide services to 20 boys in a home-like atmosphere in which struggling adolescents develop better life attitudes, grow in their faith, find a safe and nurturing environment, and overcome their challenges and problems. We offset hard work with engaging recreation such as fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting and swimming. Our picturesque mountainous location provides excellent opportunity for backpacking, camping and hiking.

At NHBR Key Relationships Facilitate Change

Each teen begins by establishing trust with an adult mentor. Engaging activities and daily chores build a solid work ethic and countless other attractive character qualities. Then, supported by a relationship with a mentor, the adolescent can overcome the destructive choices that had caused the need for intervention. We also use individual and group counseling to improve attitudes and behaviors.

Boys at New Horizons Boys Ranch are provided a fully accredited school that also consists of independent study courses. All credits earned transfer easily to any other school. The self-paced quality of the coursework suits our students well, making it possible for them to learn as they do best and catch up on any missed credits. We believe discipline plays a key role in any productive education, and we convey this in our classroom. In addition, vocational training topics include automotive, construction, culinary, life skills, and ranching.

At NHBR Family Restoration is Paramountfamily

Genuine family restoration takes place only with the total commitment of parents. We require parents to attend three family workshops per year for coaching, family therapy and to visit their child on our campus. We support frequent contact between parents and their children using tools such as letter writing, which strengthens communication and strengthens relationships without the emotional charge of face-to-face interaction.

At NHBR Hearts and Motivations are Forever Changed

NHBR is a Christ-centered youth ranch that guides adolescents to find their place in life. Through mentorship, therapy, hard work and plenty of play, we stand by values and character traits that will serve your child for the rest of his or her life.
