4446_81066702828_2344705_nNHBR is a faith-based residential program focused on character maturity and family unity. We provide treatment to 20 boys in a home-like atmosphere in which troubled adolescents take on better life attitudes, grow in their belief, live in a safe and nurturing environment, and triumph over their challenges and problems. We balance hard work with engaging recreation including fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting and swimming. Our beautiful mountainous location has much to offer in backpacking, camping and hiking.

At NHBR Key Relationships Bring About Change

Each adolescent begins by establishing a relationship with an adult mentor. Challenging activities and daily chores contribute to a solid work ethic and many other attractive character qualities. Then, framed by a relationship with a mentor, the child can overcome the conflicts that had held him or her back. We also provide individual and group counseling to improve attitudes and behaviors.

Boys at New Horizons Boys Ranch are provided a fully accredited school that also consists of independent study courses. All credits accumulated transfer easily to any other school. The self-paced quality of the coursework suits our students well, making it possible for them to learn in the way they find best and catch up on any missed credits. We believe discipline plays a key role in any worthwhile education, and we convey this in our classroom. In addition, vocational training topics include automotive, construction, culinary, life skills, and ranching.

At NHBR Family Restoration is Paramountfamily

True family restoration occurs only with the total commitment of parents. We request parents to attend three family workshops each year for coaching, family therapy and to visit their teen on our campus. We support frequent contact between parents and adolescents using tools such as letter writing, which promotes communication and strengthens relationships without the emotional charge of face-to-face interaction.

At NHBR Hearts and Life Goals are Forever Changed

NHBR is a faith-based program that guides adolescents to find their place in life. Through mentorship, counseling, hard work and plenty of play, we teach values and character traits that will be profitable for your child for the rest of his or her life.
